Nr_18 German organisers plan to hold 242 trade fairs abroad in 2010 19.11.2009 German trade fair organisers are continuing to expand their business operations abroad. Next year, AUMA members plan to organise 242 events in 28 countries, significantly more than in 2009 (214). Featuring a new layout, the brochure entitled "German Trade Fair Quality Abroad 2010" published by the Association of the German Trade Fair Industry (AUMA) provides an overview of these events. For the first time this brochure lists trade fairs firstly by individual sector and secondly by geographical location. This second part lists venues, main products and services and the intervals at which trade fairs take place. A link is available to the website of each event. The brochure targets export-oriented companies both in Germany and abroad. The main areas of trade fair activity are South, East and Central Asia, where 132 events will be taking place, followed by non-EU countries in Europe (51), the Middle East (21), South America (18), North America (9), the EU (7), Africa (2) and Australia/Oceania (2). A total of 18 AUMA members organise their own trade fairs abroad.
