AUMA regularly publishes online and printed advertisements promoting trade fairs as a marketing instrument and German trade fairs at home and abroad. The aim in particular is to assist AUMA members in their marketing efforts to gain new exhibitors and visitors. Thus a campaign under the slogan of "Your success is only fair" targets small and medium-sized enterprises with the aim of securing their participation in fairs.
Annually, under the heading of "Trade Fairs made in Germany", AUMA publishes a brochure in ten languages with information on trade fairs in Germany for interested readers from abroad. The total circulation is around 150,000 copies. Furthermore, AUMA supplies information on trade fairs abroad held by German organisers (marketing for German trade fairs at home and abroad). It organizes and assists with seminars and presentations for opinion-formers abroad, in particular in Eastern Europe and non-European countries (general marketing). A worldwide poster and advertising series as well as a promotional film showcase the specific qualities of German trade fairs and the organisers of these events.
In order to highlight the value for money that participation in trade fairs continues to offer AUMA provides German companies with comprehensive information to help them with their decision. This includes a Trade Fair Benefit Check, a tool which calculates the costs and benefits of a trade fair, with detailed information on what trade fairs can specifically achieve – ranging from preparing for business deals to motivating employees (promoting trade fairs as a marketing instrument).
Marketing campaign – "Your success is only fair"
Taking as its slogan "Your success is only fair" AUMA has been promoting trade fairs as a marketing instrument since the spring of 2007. In particular it targets small and medium-sized companies with the aim of motivating those who do not exhibit at trade fairs to take part in them. It also aims to spread more information on the benefits of taking part in trade fairs.
||The key message of the campaign is that trade fairs lead to success, allowing exhibitors to present innovations to an expert international audience, to meet people directly, because visitors to fairs are for the most part decision-makers.
The campaign includes stop press advertisements in national dailies as well as print and online advertising in business magazines.
An accompanying website at www.erfolgdurchmessen.de provides information on the qualities of trade fairs.
The campaign will be launched in 2016 in a new design with new motifs.

Conferences and promotion events

Supporting Foreign Delegations
The AUMA office in Berlin supports foreign delegations in collecting information on the German trade fair industry and in establishing contact to the various sectors of German industry.
Every year AUMA organises the MesseTreff in Berlin: a platform for dialogue between the trade fair and convention industry, members of the government, parliament, the diplomatic corps and the media.
