Accomodation and Travel in Germany

Hotels in Germany are open to exhibitors and visitors to trade fairs, as business travelers are usually not affected by restrictions - unlike tourists. In most German states hotel guests are required to either be be vaccinated, recovered or tested. In COVID-19 hotspots, stricter rules may apply, such as hotel accommodation only for vaccinated or recovered travelers or accommodation bans. To be on the safe side trade fair guests should doublecheck with their hotel before departure, which rules apply.

Restrictions for hotels often do not apply for business travelers.

When using local public transport travelers all over Germany have to wear a mask and need to be vaccinated, recovered or tested. So anyone traveling by railroad with Deutsche Bahn, local train, urban railway, bus, subway, streetcar or airplane must follow these rules. The test must not be older than 24 hours.

When traveling by cab masks are mandatory. Usually cab passengers don´t need to be vaccinated, recovered or tested.

Entry Requirements for Trade Fair Participants from Abroad

It is generally possible for trade fair participants from abroad to enter Germany. This also applies to exhibitors and visitors from high risk areas even if not vaccinated against COVID-19.
