Global Exhibitions Day on 5 June 2019

AUMA joins worldwide campaign highlighting importance and sustainability of exhibitions

The Global Association of the Exhibition Industry (UFI) has called on the international exhibition sector to take part in Global Exhibitions Day on 5 June 2019. This year’s activities will highlight the global economic effects and successes of the exhibition and event sector, and ways in which it helps preserve resources. AUMA, the Association of the German Trade Fair Industry, is supporting the 2019 Global Exhibitions Day. It will present the latest data on the importance of the sector and on current levels of sustainability in the German exhibition industry.

The aim of Global Exhibitions Day, which is the largest publicity campaign for the exhibition and event sector, is to have national exhibition associations and companies raise the industry’s profile and highlight the role of exhibitions as efficient marketing instruments and one of the most important stimuli for economic growth in cities, regions and countries. The UFI campaign builds on successful initiatives of previous years, and is supported by 41 national exhibition associations. Last year’s campaign alone reached more than four million people worldwide via the Twitter hashtag #GED18.
