The Board of Directors of AUMA – the Association of the German Trade Fair Industry – appointed Jörn Holtmeier (40) as the new CEO on 28 May 2019, effective 1 January 2020. He will succeed
Dr. Peter Neven (65), who is retiring as CEO of AUMA at the end of December 2019.
After earning a degree in business administration, Holtmeier began working for the Daimler Group, in 2011 he became Deputy Office Manager of the Corporate Representative Office for Federal Affairs in Berlin with a focus on transport and environmental policy.
AUMA, the Association of the German Trade Fair Industry, has 74 members, including 38 industry associations representing exhibitors, visitors and service companies, as well as 36 exhibition organisers. Its main activities consist of representing the interests of the entire exhibition industry, informing and advising exhibitors and visitors, supporting state subsidy programmes for exhibitors, and providing research, education, further training and marketing for exhibitions “made in Germany”.
