Responsibility
Diversity Charter
AUMA signed the Diversity Charter in May 2021. This makes the Association of the German Trade Fair Industry part of the nationwide initiative for diversity management in Germany. By having signed AUMA shows that its organisational culture is characterised by mutual respect and appreciation for the diverse skills and talents of all employees.
The Diversity Charter is an employer initiative to promote diversity in companies and institutions. It was launched in December 2006. The aim of the initiative is to expedite the recognition, appreciation and inclusion of diversity in the world of work in Germany. Organisations should create a working environment that is free of prejudice. All employees should experience appreciation - regardless of gender, gender identity, nationality, ethnic origin, religion or belief, disability, age, sexual orientation and identity.

Sustainability: "Net Zero Carbon Events-Pledge
Trade fairs are meeting and market places where sustainable innovations and solutions to climate change are showcased. At the same time, trade fairs have a responsibility to minimise their own impact on climate change. To this end, AUMA signed the "Net Zero Carbon Events" initiative in November 2021.
The "Net Zero Carbon Events-Pledge" was initiated by the Joint Meetings Industry Council and is supported by various organisations and associations of the trade fair and event industry. The signatories pledge to achieve zero emissions by 2050 at the latest. In line with the Paris Climate Change Agreement, this should include the interim goal of already reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 50 per cent by 2030.
