Innovations are virtually expected at trade fairs - the opportunity for start-ups

New companies strengthen competition and promote the innovative strength of the individual sectors. It is important to have a political climate that encourages the willingness to start a business. However, many of these companies also need support beyond the start-up phase.

The trade fair programme for young, innovative companies from Germany - Young Innovators - has been in existence since 2007 and aims to promote the marketing and export of new products and processes from German companies in the extended start-up phase.

54
Trade fairs selected
54 international and national trade fairs in Germany have been selected for the Young Innovators 2025 funding programme.
60%
the stand rental and stand construction costs
When participating in a subsidised joint stand, the founders and start-ups are reimbursed 60 percent of the stand rental and stand construction costs.
Hundreds
Companies annually
Every year, 400 to 600 companies use the Young Innovators programme to enter the market.

It is an important signal to the start-up scene that Germany does not only support the founding of companies. The real challenges begin with the systematic development of market potential. This requires financial resources, which are scarce for young companies. If companies are supported at this stage, the probability of a start-up becoming a lasting success increases significantly. Since 2007, 400-600 companies have taken part in the Young Innovators programme every year.
