Jörn Holtmeier confirmed as Chairman of the UFI Associations Committee

AUMA Managing Director Jörn Holtmeier was confirmed as Chairman of the UFI Associations Committee for a further three-year term in spring 2026.

The Global Association of the Exhibition Industry (UFI) has confirmed the leadership of its Associations Committee for the coming term of office. Jörn Holtmeier, Managing Director of the Association of the German Trade Fair Industry (AUMA), has been re-elected as Chair of the committee. Synthia Chan, Council Chair of the Macau Fair & Trade Association, will remain in office as Vice-Chair. The new three-year term begins at the 93rd UFI Global Congress in the Kingdom of Bahrain this November.

With this re-election, UFI is maintaining continuity in representing the interests of international trade fair associations. In his role as Chair, Jörn Holtmeier will continue to serve as a member of the UFI Executive Committee and the Board of Directors. As Vice-Chair, Synthia Chan will also remain a member of the UFI Board of Directors.

The UFI Associations Committee brings together more than 75 national, regional and international trade fair associations worldwide. It serves as a central platform for dialogue on strategic industry topics at local, regional and global levels. Its aim is to develop common positions, strengthen cooperation between associations, and highlight the importance of the trade fair industry through data, studies and international networking.

UFI is the global association of the world’s exhibition organisers and venue operators, as well as leading national and international exhibition companies and selected partners of the industry. Its main objective is to represent, promote and support the business interests of its members and the exhibition industry as a whole. UFI directly represents more than 50,000 employees worldwide. Currently, nearly 900 member organisations from over 85 countries are part of the network. Around 1,000 international trade fairs carry the UFI Approved Event label, a recognised mark of quality for both visitors and exhibitors..
