Berlin, 10 June 2026 | The Board of Directors of the Association of the German Trade Fair Industry (AUMA) unanimously re-elected Peter Ottmann, CEO of NürnbergMesse Group, as 1st Deputy Chairman at its meeting in Berlin on 9 June. Ottmann, who was born in 1966, has held the honorary office since 2020 and has been a member of the AUMA Board since 2011.
Uwe Fischer, CEO of Hamburg Messe und Congress, was newly elected to the AUMA Board of Directors for the organising industry, and Heike Jordan, CEO of Meyer-Haake GmbH Medical Innovations (Ober-Mörlen), was elected for the exhibiting industry. Jordan represents Spectaris, the German industry association for Optics, Photonics, Analytical and Medical Technologies, on the committee.
Dirk Bollwerk, President of the German Central Roofers’ Association, Gerald Böse, President and CEO of Koelnmesse GmbH, Wolfram Diener, President & CEO of Messe Düsseldorf GmbH, and Hans-Günter Trockels, Managing Director of Patroklus GmbH and representative of the Federation of German Food and Drink Industries (BVE), have been re-elected as well.
Roland Bleinroth, President of Messe Stuttgart, and Dr Isabella-Afra Holst for the Federation of German Industries (BDI) have left the Board.
The Federation of German Security and Defence Industries (BDSV) was newly admitted to the Association of the German Trade Fair Industry (AUMA).
AUMA currently has almost 70 trade fair organisers and trade associations as members. The Board of Directors consists of up to 22 honorary members. It is made up of representatives from industry, trade and commerce as well as trade fair organisers. The Chairman is Philip Harting, Chairman of the Board of the technology group of the same name, who was confirmed for a further three-year term in 2025. The 2nd Deputy Chairman is Klaus D. Kremers, Managing Partner of Paradies GmbH in Neukirchen-Vluyn.
